Friday Evening, June 25

East Side hosting Dinner and Captains' Meeting at the Leatherwood/Howard homes.

1) Arrive at Leatherwood/Howard homes (6:30 pm or so) and check in with Mike Storey for Saturday race.

Bring Lawn Chairs and BYOB

2) Pay for and pick up shirt, hat and dinner orders with Mike and his helpers before Dinner so they can have some fun, too.

3) Around 7 pm.  Dinner served by East Side hosts.

4) Captains' Meeting. This will be a short meeting to discuss the rules of the race.  Always an important event.

5) Wrap up evening.  We would like to have things wrapped up between 10 and 11 pm because we have an early race Saturday.

6) Drive home safely

 Saturday, June 26

1) 8 am. Race committee places buoys for race.

2) 10 am, Boats start gathering on the lake in front of Storey Boathouse in middle of lake.  Course will be posted on committee boat at 10:00 am.  The course for the race will be either A, B, or C (This decision depends on direction of wind and will be discussed at the Captain's Meeting Friday night).  Please see maps (to be posted later on this website) for course’s and buoy rounding directions.  Number of laps will also be posted below course.  Small boats and Multi-Hulls will race one lap less than Big Boats.  In event of lightning, the lake will evacuated until the all clear sign.  In event of 0 wind, race will be delayed on 30 minute intervals. This means if the 11:00 am start is missed the next start will be 11:30.

10:50      10 minute horn sounds, 4 blows. 
10:55        5 minute horn sounds, 3 blows. 
10:59        1 Minute horn sounds, 2 blows. 
11:00        Start of Big Boat race, 1 blow.
11:04        1 Minute warning for small boats, 2 blows.
11:05        Start of small boat race,  1 Blow.

3) 3:30 pm, small boats start gathering for revenge cup and multi hull race.  (Multi Hull could be cancelled if no participants)

3:50      10 minute horn sounds, 4 blows. 
3:55        5 minute horn sounds, 3 blows. 
3:59        1 Minute horn sounds, 2 blows. 
4:00        Start of "Revenge" Race for sunfish type boats and multi-hull's, 1 blow.

4) Saturday Night Party and Awards Presentation hosted at the Storey Boat House and Big Deck on West Side of Lake.

To get directions to the the Storey Boat House/Big Deck, use Google Maps.  Enter 800 Storey Road, Nocona, Texas, 76255 as the destination, Point B.  Enter 100 Clay Street, Nocona, Texas, 76255 as Point A.  The location isn't exact, but you will see the parked cars.  We suggest you print the map.

5)  Dinner served sharply at 7pm by the Nocona Rural Volunteer Fire Department.
